HRV testing measures the millisecond variations between heartbeats — giving the clinical team a picture of autonomic nervous system balance, stress resilience and recovery, in a short non-invasive session.
What Is Heart Rate Variability?
HRV is not your heart rate — it's the variation in time between each heartbeat. A healthy heart does NOT beat like a metronome. The subtle irregularity in beat-to-beat intervals (measured in milliseconds) reflects the constant communication between your autonomic nervous system and your heart.
Higher HRV is generally associated with greater adaptability, better recovery and steadier nervous system regulation. Lower HRV is associated with a heavier chronic stress load and poorer recovery. These are associations across groups, not a verdict on any one person.

HRV can shift before a person notices a change in how they feel, which makes it useful both as an early signal and as a way to monitor whether a plan is working.
